Island City Art Walk continues to draw local artists and community together.

More than halfway into its fourth season, the Island City Art Walk continues to provide culture and fun along the 1.1 mile Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors on Friday, March 19th, 2010 between 7 and 10 pm.

Wave the free trolley down if you need a break from walking. Refreshments are served in many of the sponsored locations, which host over 40 local artists, including photographers, Peter Nolan, Scott Strauss, Roy Adams, Michael Brooks and fine artists, Michael Rocheford, Adriana Correa, Claudia Castillo, June Cashwell, Hildana Ciser, Ross Ford and Harmony Jones to name just a few.

Organized by gallery owner, Mary Ellen Charapko, the Island City Art Walk has introduced fine art into the Wilton Manors community by hosting a third Friday of the month walk during the season. Official sponsors include a variety of cafes, boutiques, a candy store and gelato shop, galleries, restaurants, hair salons, furniture stores, antique stores and a list of eclectic stores. Discover the wonderful shops on the drive and meet with the artists and business owners. Easy, fun and free.
